Chakra Chart

We are all made up of energy, which means that the energy in our environment has an affect on our mind, body, and spirit. Emotional distress and trauma can be stored in certain areas of the body. Incorporating Chakra balancing techniques such as yoga and crystal healing can unblock these energetic centers to help work through uncomfortable feelings and create a sense of wellbeing.


Benefits of Balanced Chakras 

The Chakras consist of  7 energetic centers in the body starting from the crown of your head and down the body to the base of your spine. Learning how to energetically cleanse the body and increasing self-awareness is the key to deciphering what’s going on in one’s body. 


Root Chakra | “Muladhara”

Represents our foundation and grounding.
Mantra: “Lam”
Location: Tailbone
Issues: Sense of security, survival, self-preservation.
Organs associated: Gonads, lower body.
Balanced: Sensible, stable, and more secure. Becoming more aware of your body.
Unbalanced: Seeks comfort in material items, feeling greedy, feeling stuck, self sabotage.
Healing foods: Red apples, beets, tomatoes, strawberries.
Unblock: Walk around the house, stand barefoot outdoors, get a pedicure, restful sleep, stretching, and yoga. 


Sacral Chakra | “Svadhisthana”

Represents creativity, passion, intimacy, and connection.
Mantra:
“Vam”
Location: Center of lower belly.
Issues: Emotions, feelings, and, pleasure.
Organs Associated: Adrenal gland, hips, lower back.
Balanced: Warmth, confidence, and generosity.
Unbalanced: Depression, detachment, indulgent, over sensitive, fear, anxiety, poor boundaries, fearful or nervous.
Healing foods: Carrots, mango, oranges, sweet potatoes.
To Unblock: Exercise, dance, move hips in a circle. Learn to let go, practice hip opening exercises.


Solar Plexus Chakra | “Manipura”

Represents self-worth, confidence, and transformation.
Mantra: “Ram”
Location: Above the Navel
Issues: Self-esteem, sense of purpose, personal identity, individual will, digestion, and metabolism.
Organs Associated: Pancreas, Digestive system.
Balanced: High level of self-dignity, feeling in control of your surroundings, feeling confident in self and safe with others.
Unbalanced: More aggressive in your interactions, ego, anger, passive and indecisive, apprehensive.
Healing foods: Banana, pineapple, corn, lemons, oats.
To Unblock: Engage in core exercises that will fire up the midsection of your body.


Heart Chakra | “Anahata”

Responsible for one’s feelings of love, care, and endearment.
Location:
Center of the Chest.
Mantra: “Yam”
Issues: Love, Self-Love, Compassion, Acceptance.
Organs Associated: Heart, Lung, Circulatory, Thymus Gland
Balanced: Loving, empathetic, open-hearted, serenity, tolerance, trustfulness, emotionally balanced.
Unbalanced: Loneliness, demanding, critical, jealous, narcissistic, heart/lung issues, allergies.
Healing foods: Leafy vegetables, green grapes, green tea
To Unblock: Practice Gratitude and loving kindness affirmation. Additionally, try to spread unconditional love towards those around you.


Throat Chakra | “Vishuddha”

Represents self-expression and communication. 
Mantra: “Ham”.
Location:
Center of Throat.
Issues: Truth, Purpose, Communication.
Organs Associated: Thyroid Gland, throat, upper lungs,
digestive tract 
Balanced: Speaking truthfully, creativity, self-expression, good communication, listening to others
Unbalanced: Misguidance, lack of creativity, lack of speaking, lack of purpose, poor listening, lies
Healing foods: Blueberries, Lemon, Honey, Mushrooms
To Unblock: Call a friend, write a letter, singing a song, get something off your chest and permit yourself to breathe.


Third Eye Chakra | “Anja”

Represents imagination, intelligence, insight, and trust.
Location:
Between the eyes on the forehead.
Issues: Intuition, vision, imagination, and clairvoyance.
Organs Associated: Pituitary gland.
Balanced: Motivates inspiration and creativity. Keeps calm under pressure. Access to mystical states, illumination, vision, connection to wisdom, insight.
Unbalanced: Lack of concentration, fear of the unknown, rely on others to think for you, feeling confused, helpless. 
Healing foods: Grapes, blueberries plums, chocolate.
To Unblock: Write poetry, draw, paint, clear clutter, meditate.


Crown Chakra | “Sahasrara”

Represents oneness, spirituality, and connectivity.
Mantra:
“Ng”
Location: Top of the head.
Issues: Wisdom, consciousness, transcendence, meditation, spirituality, self-realization, knowing, and enlightenment.
Organs Associated: Pineal gland.
Balanced: Balance and harmony within your mind, body, and soul. Feeling calm, peaceful, making decisions, feeling deeply connected to all living beings. 
Unbalanced: Headaches, mental illness, relying too much on spirituality and ignoring the body’s basic needs, feeling disconnected from the universe.
Healing foods: Garlic, ginger, cauliflower, kale.
To Unblock: Journal, meditate, expand mind with books, start a podcast, breathe and carve out more time in your day to just be.
